Catch Up
I know that it has been a long time since I blogged, but it is not for lack of events in my life, just not enough time or I just don't take the time....whatever it is there is never enough of it. This is just a quick update on what has been going on with us since I discovered that I was nothing more then a Disney hussy! The first picture is of Austyn's new earrings. We got her ears pierced almost a month ago and she was so good. She just whimpered a little bit, nothing like Macayla who actually assulted the lady piercing her ears....she kicked her!! This is also a picture of one of Austyn's new headbands. My friend Elizabeth came to my rescue after Austyn cut her hair and sent me these cute headbands. You can switch out the bow and put some flowers or other bows on it. She also sent us a pink headband, so we are pretty much covered for Ausytn's hair, THANKS ELIZABETH!!! It gives us a more options then just the 4 bows we had before!
Also, I don't have a picture of this, but Austyn has been going through potty training this last week. She has been doing a really good job, even sleeping through the night and waking up dry :) This has been wonderful for me and Joe because we once again have only one kid in diapers. Just typing this I figured out that we have been buying diapers for at least one kid since 2001. That is a stinking long time, I know that others have had longer, but man I hate to think how much money we have put into diapers in the last 7 years. Back to potty training, the one thing that has made this potty training a little harder is that we are down to one toilet. About 10 days ago we had some plumbers come out because the toilet in the kids bathroom would not flush. They worked on it for an hour even had it removed and out on our front lawn trying to get out whatever object was lodged in there, to no avail. They were done working on it considering it a lost cause so I asked them to break it so I could see what caused the blockage. There was a thing of toothpast that our kids had flushed. It was one of those colgate ones that are not a tube, but more like a triangle. It would not budge even after we broke it open. So we have been down to one toilet with 5 people using it. What fun, but as always it really could be worse. Well, that is just a quick run down. When I have more time I will post about Ausytn's birthday party we had and our fun little family trip to Lubbock. Sunday, August 3, 2008
I am Esmerelda
Ok, so I saw this quiz on Tamara's blog and thought that I would try it. I did it four different times. After my third one I decided that I would stick with whatever came up because I thought that I was pretty truthful on my answers. Well, as luck would have it I am not a princess at all, just a gypsy who pole dances. Oh well, at least the description is nice! Take the quiz and let me know which princess you are!!!

Everett's 6 month pictures
Here are two of my favorite pictures from Everett's session. They are really small because somehow I stole them from the website, I really am not sure how I did it. Hopefully you can kind of see the picture. He did a really good job especially after having to wait for 20 min and being tired. This is his big cheesy grin that he always does, he doesn't know how to smile with his mouth closed.

The Fix (a.k.a The Combover)
For those that noticed I did change the post name, I just felt that I was being a little too mean.

My Beautician
Well, it finally happened to me.....I honestly never thought it would. We were having a family pizza/movie night on Fri. and so we were all just watching "She's the Man" and hanging out. Elijah decided he wanted to color and went and got the bag of crayons and colored pencils and Austyn thought that was a good idea and joined him. Well the movie ended and I started to watch Psych and got caught up in that and didn't realize that Austyn was no longer sitting in front of the T.V. with the bag of crayons. After the first commercial break I turned to see what she was doing and saw that she had found the last pair of scissors in the bag and was cutting her hair. Yes, she had been sitting there for 5 to 10 min just snipping away. And since her arms aren't very long, she only got the front......doesn't her haircut look beautiful! Her hair is probably only half and inch long in parts. She got it good.
I honestly don't even think there is a way that I can blend that in unless I shave her head. And of course her hair is so light and thin that it sticks out. This is just the majority of it, not all of it. After I got her out of her hinding spot, I put her on the couch and tried to see all the damage. Hair just kept coming out all over my couch, and I can't get it off without some type of lint roller, which I now have to go purchase. This just showed me that as long as we have this furniture, we will not be getting an animal. The really hard part about it is that she looked so funny it was hard not to laugh when I was trying to be mad. She just kept giggling, and I am sorry to say that I did not have a good poker face.

My Hannah Montana
A couple weeks ago for her reward for sleeping in her room, Macayla chose a Hannah Montana wig. She was so funny with it, after she first put it on she decided that she was the biggest Hannah Montana fan because she sings like her, she has dark hair like Miley, and she now had the wig like Hannah. So of course like every girl would she put on the wig and wanted to do a concert, but not without a photoshoot first. We honestly took like 20 photos, but I didn't think that we needed to upload all of them, you pretty much get the point with the couple I put on. She was excited to get all dressed up like a rock star and this is a scarf she got two Christmases ago. She called it her Hannah Montana scarf back then and wore it everywhere, so as soon as she started putting on the wig she was asking for her scarf. I think she looks pretty cute, and she did an awesome concert.
Here she is in another rockstar pose.....we even did a couple with her looking over her shoulder, you know the red carpet pose. This one I thought showed more attitude, which is definetely something Macayla had plenty of with the wig on, but not in a bad way, she just walked around strutting her stuff.
Here she is "pumping up the party." She was so funny during the concert, she watches Hannah Montana religiously and so she tried to do a lot of the dance moves that Hannah does for the songs. She totally did the hip move when she lip synced the song "Nobody's perfect" Katie, Kylie, or Krystal can demostrate those moves for you all if you're not sure what I am talking about. For those of you not near those girls I am sorry, maybe if you really wanted to see the move you could look it up on youtube :)
Here is my sweet Hannah during the photo shoot. I just thought this picture was a really good one of Macayla, not that she takes bad ones, she is so photogenic. Anyways, she had a blast and wants to do another concert but of course because we got her wig at Walmart it didn't last more then 3 days before it was a nasty rats nest. I need to find her a good wig that isn't too expensive that I can get her for her birthday. If you have any ideas of where to get one I would appreciate you passing it on. Hopefully by that time I will have guilt tripped Joe into getting a video camera and I will be able to put a song from her next performance on my blog. She had soooo much fun, and I loved watching her. Plus without the wig she looks a lot like me, but with the lighter hair, we are like twins when I was that age. What mom wouldn't love that!!
